to my left beautiful trees full of vivid, green leaves to my right fields of wheat distorted by the heat and all i want to do is lay right next to you the suns rays on our skin the grass sways in the wind to my left mounds of earth and sunlight's birth to my right her face reflects the city lights and the people in the night and all i want to do is lay right next to you the suns rays on our skin the grass sways in the wind

while the cars and people move and as they inhale the traffic fumes i find a brief moment of stillness there's a few soft and sweet voices they tell me to stay they tell me to wait yeah, everyone moves but, i feel soothed while the men and women move with their cigarettes and fancy shoes and while i'm having fun there's a few soft and sweet voices they tell me to stay they tell me not to change yeah, everyone moves but, i feel soothed while the frantic shoppers move with their credit cards and strong perfumes i feel a breeze come over me i hear the trees talk to me they tell me to stay they tell me to sit yeah, everyone moves
